By: |LL|RaGE[w00t] Send comments/flames to: Mike-v@z.com [tech support] Llamalords@z.com [to join the team] Timer2k@hotmail.com [bugs reports, suggestions] 1) Installation 2) Playing the Game 3) Unit changes 4) FAQ/Technical stuff ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ONE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ INSTALLATION: - installation itself is very simple a) simply extract the WorldWar105.exe to any directory you wish to run it from b) run the .exe (make sure no other programs are running, and that your BW/SC disk in in the drive) c) click OK (if you're running on a small resolution, it may be out of sight... simply resize the window and drag it up) d) choose which program you would like to run (the campaign editor or the game) e) chances are you won't be able to play on Battle.net -- other players require the same version and .exe to play, otherwise they'll be dropped when the game starts f) I prefer to play multiplayer, but only if my friends wants to play WWIII, if not then simply choose single player and custom maps. (note that use map settings maps will conflict with the WW3 mod, so stick to melee/free for all). Also pick your force (soviets, allies, mercenaries) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TWO ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PLAYING THE GAME -the game itself is fairly simple -- it reflects that of StarCraft. However, notice that each race now has a 'core' unit (the marine, and the fighter jet). These units are somewhat inexpensive, and the marines can be found early in the tech three (the second unit you build, other than slaves). -each of the forces [races] also contains more infantry than vehicles, and more ships than vehicles. -EVERY SINGLE UNIT has been modified somehow, beit stats of graphics, or a bit of both. Each race also has a different characteristic: Soviets [Zerg] -- rely on TONS of armor, very little HP, very 'fast' speed for all units Allies [Terran] -- rely on mostly life, have some shields, a bit of armor, medium speed Mercenaries [Protoss] -- rely on shields, and life, quite a bit of armor for some, almost none for other units (they're a bit of both) *note that all spells have remained the same in order to prevent crashing (even tho unchanged spells STILL CRASH!!! Keep those 4 things in mind, I'm trying to fix'em. *if you know how to fix them, plz tell me. full credit will be given to you, too. ^_^ FAQ: 1) WTF!? I CAN'T PLAY THE MOD WITH PEOPLE ON BATTLE.NET!? a) DUH!!!!! I told you already, the other people also need to be running the mod.
