Wow! Everything seems to have been given a new look since last time we gazed upon the undead. The Blight is looking great, and we can now see it affecting the trees around it aswell, as they have turned dark and rotted. The left building is the new-look Necropolis (Undead Town Hall), which still keeps it's same style of a Keep structure hovering over a pool of water, but the details and textures have changed completely since the last time we saw it. The other building only Blizzard knows what it is exactly, is also completely new, but it does seem to resemble a Altar of Heroes type structure. As for the units, the two Skeleton Archer's and Skeleton Warrior also have a new model, and in the centre, even the the Necromancer is sporting a new look. We also get to see the new Dread Lord as was released yesterday during his level-up animation. Over to the right is a band of Orc's consisting of a Blademaster with his new purple disc underneath him to signify he is a Hero, and three Grunts standing near a Treasure Chest. There also seems to be some strange green lights surrounding the group of Orc's, their origin unknown. Taking a look at the interface, we are presented with a first look at the Undead's version with bonelike borders and skulls appearing all over it. Up the top is the usual stuff, except a new box has been added in to determine what stage of Upkeep you are in, at the moment, the player obviously being in No Upkeep. Down the bottom we also see the new six slots for items in the Hero's inventory instead of the old four slots. Taking a look at the Dread Lord's spells, the one on the left is most likely Whirlwind, and the other one, judging by it's position on the interface, is probably Hypnotise, which is the Ultimate spell of the Dread Lord. -Chib The screenshot is provided by Blizzard. - Posted 12-5-2001
