Night Elf TechTree:
The most notable feature of the Night Elf tech-tree is that it is far more rigid than other races. For instance, the Hunter's Hall, the Night Elf Blacksmith, must be built after the Night Elf Barracks, where are no such restrictions apply with other races. Similarly in higher stages of the tech-tree, both the Bear Den and Chimera Roost require have two prerequisites instead of one.
All this limits the combinations in which buildings can be built, and player's really have only two options later on, to either go land with the Ancient of Lore or air with the Ancient of the Wind. This choice is very similar to the one a Protoss player faces after the Cybernetics core, he must choose whether he goes air with the Stargate or Land with the Temple of Adun.
Like all races in Warcraft 3, the Night Elves also have a central town hall structure, which can be upgraded three times. In the beat at least however, all three levels of the structure look very much alike.
One final point of note is that the Night Elves have no structure that acts as a Lumber Mill. They have no lumber depot and they don't need one, as Wisps harvest lumber by circling around the trees, without ever needing to bring wood back to town.
