Undead Structure Archives: -Last Updated 1-19-2001
In terms of building a town, the Undead resembles are fix of Protoss and Zerg from Starcraft, if fact it seems like they are a hybrid of both. Players use acolytes to summon buildings. Likes probes, a acolyte only needs to begin the summoning ritual, creating a vortex out of the twisting nether. Once the process has been started, the acolyte is free from his duty.
In addition, all undead buildings generate blight, similar to the way creep in created by the Zerg. All undead buildings, except the Haunted Gold Mine and the Necropolis, must be constructed on creep.
Expanding with the undead is an interesting process, and like the Protoss, is easy in the sense that all you need to one peon to get everything going. Instead of construction a Town Hall type structure as most races would, the Undead simply needs to Haunt the Gold Mine. Since Acolytes can harvest gold any distance away from Necropolis at the same speed, construction an extra Necropolis is not needed. We not however, this isn't as easy at sounds, since Haunting a Gold Mine costs as much as building a Town Hall.
One final fact of interest is that Undead towers are upgraded from farms. These Spirit Towers are dangerous and versatile, able to attack both land and air. Since farms are so abundant, the Undead is the race most likely to have stationary structures in their town.
