Restoration of the Shadow Council

Chapter 1: Enter DreamShadow

Let me introduce myself. I am Na’Jord, I posses the knowledge of all the Orcish magicks. When I was a boy I was trained as to be a great Wolf Rider, though I was only moderate in the area of physical strength, but my intelligence in battle proved to make up for my lack of extreme strength. I had finally been accepted as a Raider in the Bleeding Hollow Clan when Doomhammer, the new War Chief, dispersed all Raiders except those who would reside on Draenor, and those Raiders who did not return to Draenor or disperse into that Grunt ranks were executed. I was not about to return to those ruined lands by choice, nor waste my life as a Grunt for the man that denied me my dreams. I sought refuge with the Necrolytes of the Damned. I knew then that the great Gul’dan saw some potential in me as a Necrolyte or he would have turned me over to Doomhammer indefinitely.

As years past I learned all I could from Gul’dan. Among these were the secrets of the ancient shamanistic ways of the Horde that only the Elder Shaman Ner’Zhul and Gul’dan, the last of the Warlocks, knew. I learned the archaic Necromantic ways from the great Warlock as well.

I soon rose above the level of all the other Necrolytes in power, learning to control travel across the Twisting Nether and conversing with long dead Warlocks, all killed by the hand of Doomhammer. I felt that Gul’dan became fearful of what I was doing, but at that time I had paid no attention for I could not conceive any reason he would have to be fearful of someone who’s rank is so far below him. I continued my study of the necromancy, learning the secrets of raising the dead and stealing life force of others by reaching out with my mind as if it were a dark Lance. I soon began to notice that none of the other Necrolytes could even to began to conceive the power I had obtained, but I was not yet of the same ilk as Gul’dan, but little did I know then, that I soon would be.

For days at a time I continued to explore the Twisting Nether and expand my knowledge of Necromancy, but this soon became redundant. I began to lose all but the smallest hope for my aspiration for the continuation in the study of the Necromantic magicks when I discovered a new and powerful force. This force had a name, Kil’Jaered. The name was familiar to me but at the time I did not know how or why. I immediately sought counsel with the daemon. I soon found that my suspicions were correct. In a flash Kil’Jaered showed me things that only my master, Gul’dan, knew..

I learned everything from the beginning at the creation of the Dark Portal to the death of the Shadow Council. He also showed me a lasting image before he broke off contact, a secret tome deep inside the Temple of the Damned, one that no mortal had viewed in over two hundred and fifty years. A book that even the great Gul’dan has not seen, nor his master, the infamous Medivh. The Guardian of Tirisfal, mother of the great Medivh, must have hid the book in a secure place at the time, so no one would not recognize it incase the powers that manifested Medivh would destroy his body and another guardian was needed. I finally awoke from my dream. I recorded the words and maps shown to me by Kil’Jaered and immediately I sought the counsel of Gul’dan to reveal my encounter to him.

We quickly left Blackrock Spire in the Black Morass in Azeroth for the Temple of the Damned in the surrounding mountains. We uncovered numerous ancient texts of Necromancy. Spells that only the most elite, though long dead, Warlocks of Draenor knew, a range of spells and summons that go from creating a Rain of Fire to Summoning Dragons and Elemental Forces!

Gul’dan knew I had become a valuable ally, so to completely shade me from Doomhammer’s wrath he sent me to Draenor under the guardianship of the all-wise Ogre-Mage, Cho’Gall. Cho’Gall patiently spent months teaching me to channel my powers. Though his own powers were limited even more than mine, because of his body and age, he taught me in a way that even Gul’dan could not for he had the experience of 100 orcs, and the wisdom of 10 Warlocks.

Once there I spent months on establishing my fortress, infusing it with powerful magick runes and power. Upon the completion of the irksome task I immediately began undertaking the difficult and tiresome endeavor of seeking out new Necrolytes and training them to channel their inner power and how to tap into the great pool of the Twisting Nether’s Awesome power in order to learn how to deliver devastating spells, even to one who is elite a warrior as the personal guards of Doomhammer who are rumored to be just as strong as he is.

I began to develop new powers and teach the only three my students could handle them, the now Warlock Estrem; the Necrolyte Thok; and the Ogre-Mage Makbeth. I soon recorded these spells in my personal SpellBook for future reference should anything happen to me or should I feel the need to have a new string of high powered Necrolytes trained to aid the Warlocks so I need not waste my time on teaching them spells and will be able to concentrate on the more worthy matters at hand. Cho’Gall had advised me through my quest to restore the order of Warlocks; it seemed to bring a new flare for battle into his eyes. As the years passed Cho’Gall was recalled through the Dark Portal and across Azeroth and the Great Sea to the shores of Loderan. At that moment I started a new order of Necrolytes, I taught the arcane Necromantic magicks to them as well as showed them all the kinds of secrets the Twisting Nether holds.

Now, out of the view of Ner’Zhul, in my own veil of secrecy I have successfully restored the council of Warlocks, thus, the DreamShadow Council was formed.
