The Dark Elf- Part 3

"By the god's! A rebellion! Rebellion!" Screamed a knight, who had an archer riding on the horse with him as they went down the rode as fast as the animal could take them!

"Rebellion, Shazz? How is this possible, we have just defeated the Hordes only to be undermined by our OWN!" Asked the young Grildarr.

"I don't know, scout. We shall ask them." He managed to pull the two over, with the help of Erin's net.

"Now, what is this news I hear of a rebellion, warriors?"

They calmed down and the knight began to speak; "We... were heading back from destroying a small group of Trolls raiding a farm... Then on the... way back to our outpost-"

His Elven companion interrupted the knight, "We were ambushed by arrows, coming from our sides! Now our group is all dead, save for US two! Since no Orcs would dare try to wield arrows with such great accuracy, they MUST have been Elven forces! Must have, indeed!"

Shazz wondered, could the Dark Elf already have companions? Impossible! Loyal military forces and remnants of the Horde mostly populate the east!

"Shouldn't we investigate, Shazz? It is very close to the Ranger outpost!" Stated Darnin.

The knight spoke up, "Alas, when Elf here looked back, the outpost was burning to the ground!"

Elf? An Elf named Elf? How strange...

"Grildarr, you are a scout! Might you be able to track where the attacks went after they attacked?"

Gildarr gave the usual nod, "Possibly, if they haven't covered up their tracks. Otherwise, yes I could! But first we should hurry to Floura and speak to the townsfolk. We'll arrive their in a few hours, so why don't you accompany us, Elf and-"

"Uther. I am named after Uther Lightbringer." Spoke the knight. "I see, well you might as well join us. We shall need more men to combat this supposed rebellion!" and with that, they headed toward the town of Floura.

"Damn you, Jek'Hazarr. You cannot defeat ALL of us. Soon the rest of my pe-" and Jek fired another arrow, shot right into the heart of his prey. A Ranger had found them. Luckily, they had heard, seen (or smelled) any other Rangers... or ANYONE for that matter. It was nice to finally kill a Ranger. Jek could only hope they would be the first peoples destroyed when the Burning Legions arrived!

"All right, let's head to Floura. We must pick up information of what the locals think of the recent happenings in the east. I shall go in alone dressed as an Archer, you shall get more troops from the base and distract the local military presence."

It had been two hours and they reached Floura. It was a busy city, too many people to notice Jek by face. Then again, all except the military knew of the Dark Elves as anything but myth and legend. He went into the local tavern, with the hanging sign

"Otho's Tavern". He saw a Dwarven Rifleman, two knights, two archers, and what appeared to be a King's scout. The scout was quite obviously going to get the help of the Rangers. He must stop this from happening. He approached the team of soldiers and greeted them,

"It appears you have quite the team assembled! Might I ask what for?" One of the knight's answered,

"There is an Orc base near here. We are going to destroy it." An obvious answer.

"Then why the scout, surely you don't expect such to wield a blade against Trolls and Orcs! I doubt you should have to scout defenses, after all the Orcish military these days are not as well trained, so I've heard."

They accepted his lie. The Orcs in the east kept themselves WELL trained, unless cut off from other Orcish outposts and have no food supplies.

"Would you be interested in helping us? I can see you do not believe my story. So I shall tell you if you promise to help us." Jek'Hazarr smiled,

"All right. I shall accompany you." The knight, identifying himself as Shazz, the rifleman Darnin, the elves Erin and Elf, the other knight as Uther, and the scout as Grildarr. He told them about the rebellion theory, and about the Dark Elf they were ordered to destroy, and that they had
yet to enlist the Ranger's aid. "All right, so now we shall head to the barracks of Turruck? Good. Many fine warriors there!" said the Dwarf. Yes, many fine warriors... now burned to the ground by him and four Trolls. They exited the Tavern, and as soon as they were outside the tavern, Jek shouted, "Luctarrrr!!!"

What in Lordaeron's light was he doing? That was an Orcish battlecry!

"Wha-" Erin's last words before a Troll's axe was stuck brutally in his head, blood spilled all over their party. Grunts ambushed from the sides, and arrows continued to fall. Jek had an arrow pointed at Uther, but Shazz knocked his arm and it his Uther's shoulder instead. They ran for their lives, Shazz pulling the wounded Grildarr up onto his horse.

The knight Uther, bleeding badly, used his left arm to bear his shield to the back, repelling the arrows and axes. The Dwarf, and the two elves had been killed during the ambush. He couldn't believe the treachery of the Elf they had just encountered. It had to be the Dark Elf. No one spoke when they arrived at Turruck, seeing crumbled stone and burned skeletons. By the gods, surely one Elf and a team of Orcs could no cause such damage!

"We shall rest in the woods, we'll have less chance of being found in there. God have mercy on the souls of the townsfolk at Floura.." They found a small opening and rested for the day, licking their wounds and mourning over the loss of their three comrades.

"We must find them! Tell the camp to send patrols to scout around Turruck, they are most likely around there, Shzen!" The Troll head back to the camp, while they just sat and looked at the piles of dead bodies and burning houses that had once been a profitable town! It was wonderful. One of the dead bodies moved, Jek just laughed and sent another arrow flying into the twitching arm. Their enemies have no choice but to fail, now.

There were no towns with military presence for miles! "All right, let's burn the last of these buildings and find some peasants hiding, they would prove useful for torturing and such." and with that, they scoured the Town Hall and found the remaining villagers. Anyone who spoke was quickly pierced in the heart by an arrow. They traveled back to the camp, hopefully to here that Shzek had patrols around Turruck....
