The Journals of Gul'Dan (Chapter 3)

Twisting Nether: Day 4

At last time to myself, I have discovered what this place is, it is a demon temple erected years ago by followers of the demon, Kil'Jaeden. I have met the demon and because I accidentally set five strange statues in order he has begun to teach me how the Twisting Nether can benefit me. I would have wrote this sooner but that infernal demon does not let me have a moment to myself, I swear that if I could I would strike him down, but I haven't even seen him. He hides in the shadows, perhaps he is afraid of me. Or perhaps it is a voice in my mind telling me what I can do. Either explanation is not called for but would explain why I have been chosen to be an apprentice and not a dinner. I sit here now eating fresh (the equivalent of Pig) and drinking cold (The equivalent of beer). It is quite a meal back in the old tower in the village. Not even Ner'Zhul ate like this. I remember in my younger more futile days I was too impatient, I wanted to be a warrior instead of a warlock. I know now how much of a fool I was. Now I am learning the dark ways from the master of them, but like the others, his use will eventually ware off. I heard back in town that Blackhand's birth has called forth several Orcish chieftain’s attentions, apparently they want to make him their vassal, but I know that all four shall slay each other for him.

The Laughing Skull Clan has recently been trying to create a new magic to empower their spearmen, but the Orc body cannot take such a physical empowerment without death. It occurs too quickly for the body to get used to it, if only another race could be found, but Skoluss the War Chief commands that non-Orcs are either food or slaves.

Again it happens; the man with an evil heart appeared before me! Why are all these events happening? I can only hope that it will contribute to my rise and not my fall. Kil'Jaeden has commanded me to create something for him, something magical. I have great magical capability but to make a weapon or another useful item, I cannot. Perhaps if I, of course, their is a vault here. Using my Dark Vision I can see into it, I see a book of magic. Unfortunately it is in the catacombs beneath this tower.

I see someone heading this way to the tower, it is Geris, the hunter, he is coming for me. Ner’zhul trained me well and I was his best pupil but, he wanted me gone, he was jealous of my powers. Why would he send someone to attain me?

Apparently the hunter was drawn here because of the sandstorm. He would have had a good night's rest if not Kil'Jaeden been hungry. Geris had been hunting for Cho'Gall, the ogre. He has been said to be getting shelter from the Twilight's Hammer Clan. I will find him. I may have use for an ogre.

I have used my Dark Vision to look down the catacombs beneath this tower. There are many wyrms and Sancloose (A HUGE Orc eating bug). I will have to use all my strength and power, as well as magical skill, I have mastered the Flame Bolt spell that will help me very well. Soon I will have my hands on a demon book of spells.

I have to go now, for in 10 hours I will have to have an item ready.
