The Journals of Gul'Dan (Intermission 2)

It was the middle of the night. Gul'Dan walked through the halls of the spire with only a medium sized axe (Which Gul'Dan had a little trouble holding). He proceeded through the halls into the library one last time. He quickly looked through a book titled the Blizzard. It told of an ancient civilization that created them all. Gul'Dan then found what he had been looking for, the anatomy of a Demon. It's red skinned body and massive wings were crudely made on the cloth page. The book was falling apart so the exact weak spot of the Demon was unknown to Gul'Dan. It was however somewhere on the head area. The only problem was where, and how Gul'Dan would reach it, he had never seen his mentor. Gul'Dan's mission was still to find the demon book to make a powerful artifact for Kiljaeden. Gul'Dan then exited the library throwing the book to the floor, tearing out the Demon Anatomy page. He proceeded to the Twisting Halls entrance. He used a fire bolt spell on a torch on the wall to light up the narrow stone halls. Gul'Dan breathed heavily, he had never seen where the demon had been when talking to him. He could easily be down here.

Gul'Dan walked down the halls, every fifty meters, making sure to mark a map in his journal. At about 500 meters, he used his dark vision to see how far he was away. Only another 500 meters. He was half way there.

At about 530 meters he felt something slither across his leg. Gul'Dan gasped at what was before him, a giant worm. Gul'Dan panicked, he was still young, and had never seen such a frightening creature. Gul'Dan stumbled back and used a firebolt at the worm. The worm's skin caught on fire and it quickly began to charge at Gul'Dan
.
The Worm's large body almost did not fit in the stone hallways and when Gul'Dan rushed through a stone doorway, the worm was caught, and Gul'Dan stopped.

"Hehehe," Gul'Dan giggled "a little too fat, huh? Should have made sure to go on a diet!"

Gul'Dan took time, to charge up a new spell he was aching to try out, Death and Decay. He had not had a lot of training in it and ignorant Gul'Dan used it.

The worm's skin melted off, and what was worse was the fact it had been pregnant. Hundreds of worms poured out of the mother's body, some not even fully developed, but all EXTREMELY hungry. He used his Firebolt to clean the hallway. They were all dead, but Gul'Dan felt extremely afraid, he should have never used a spell that he was not proficient with. Eventually, after a few baby worms, he found the vault of the demon book. Gul'Dan opened the door with the axe, splitting it open, like a crowbar. Inside he found the book, and other treasures as well. A new cloak, a scepter, and an artificial claw, made of gold, incrusted with jewels. He made his way back to the spire and back to his chambers, and started to work on creating a replica of something in the book, something not to powerful, but not too weak either. After about 5 hours, he created a very poor replica of a Dark Sword. He used a spell from the book to make it look fine quality, but if ever used, it's poor qualities would be shown. About 2 hours later, the demon's voice again yelled through the halls.

"Gul'Dan, my test is complete, gather in the main hall and show me what you have created." The demon's voice said
Without a word, Gul'Dan proudly strolled into the hall with the sword. Kiljaeden was there, out of the shadows, standing 12 feet tall.

"Give me what you have made."

Gul'Dan placed the blade into KilJaeden's claw, never once blinking in the demon's presence. The demon looked a the blade for a moment then crushing in and tossing it to the ground
.
"This was a trick test." Kiljaeden sneered, "It was to see if you could make something, from YOUR own power, and to take time on it. If you had not completed it, but had worked on it, I would have let you be, if you had not worked on it, I would not let you live."

Gul'Dan was scared, all he could do was stand back and be frightened.

"I will be taking my book, scepter, and robe back." Kiljaeden said, "You may keep that claw. Consider last night a lesson. Always take time in your work, eternity is your time limit. All you have to fear is me, for while under my wing, you will not die, you will not age, you are at this time my apprentice, one that will carry on my work after my death. Now go on with your business. You have much to learn, your punishment is NOT to learn anything this day. Now return to your chamber.

Gul'Dan walked back to his chamber, relieved that the demon did not kill him. He was very afraid of him however. He wondered why the demon had chosen him?
