The Night Before Brood War

T'was the night before BroodWar,
And all through the house,
Not a program was running,
Except for StarCraft.
The Package was hung by the Desktop with care,
With hopes that Kerrigan soon would be there.

The kiddies wrestled all smug in their beds,
With visions of craniums flashed in their heads.
And Zeratul in his cloak and Jim in his suit,
We spilled out our brain to join in Camp Boot.

When out in the Badlands arose such a splatter,
I sprang from my bunker to listen to chatter,
Away to the scope I ran with a crash,
Threw open the tele and blew up the trash.

The goon on the rest of the new diggen hole.
Gave the glow of a crystal and the breath of a mole,
For, It was a Zergling, which slowly reared,
A miniature Zerg, which was truly feared.

With a slimy small brain, stupid and slow.
Not far away was a cerebrate named Daggo.
Speedier than bullets, the hordes quickly came,
He groaned and messaged each one by name.

Now, Killa!, Now Yggdrassill!, now Matriach and Kukzula!,
On, Unclean One! On, Torrosque! On, Duran and Kerrigan!,
To the top of the Spire, To the bottom of the crawl!
Now crack away, crack away, crack away all!

And then with a spatter I turned to below,
An ugly-ass lurker deep buried in snow,
I walked around becoming tangled in twine,
Up the stair came a wretched, spore covered spine.

They were covered in warts and spores from the hive,
And his body was tarnished with acid and slime,
With a sac full of bones was stuck to his chest,
All those dead soldiers had been put to rest.

It's eyes, how they shuttered! Its back all hairy,
The tail was like needles, it's brain like a berry,
It's drooling big mouth drawn up like a crow,
And the slime of his chin was about to glow.

The crump of a foot he held tight in his teeth,
And the blood it dribbled like water on a leaf,
He had a broad face, a little bit smelly,
That cracked when he laughed, and ate up Lenny.

It was sleek and lean, a prickly thing,
I choked when I saw him, afraid for my being,
With a blink of an eye, what I had feared,
The nutorious Lurker had just disappeared,

He spoke not a word, keeping everything near,
It was not other than Alan Cezar,
Setting his missiles, aside of his Mech,
He started off running away from our deck.

He sprang to his machine, to his mech gave a whistle,
And away he hopped, to the glittering snow,
I woke up, up aside my tiny window,
Brood War
To
All
And
To All
A Good Fight!
