Protoss Mission 2

Dunes of Shakuras:
Establish a Base and find the Dark Templar
Destroy the Zerg Base
Minimap as Drawn by Executor Deathwing
Map Size: 96x96

As we crossed through the warp gate into Shakurus, the fellow Zealots under my command were as eager to explore and find their dark brethren as I. Here a bring Chapter two of the Reports, out first encounters in Shakarus.

The journey towards a good contruction site was not difficult, although we did encounter a couple of Zerglings much to Artanis's horror. These however were dispatched easily by the four Zealots, even the probes joined in the slaughter. You can see our journey as the red line from the minimap that I have included in this report. The Construction site was west to where our journey began and soon out Probes warped in a Nexus and two Pylons. Meanwhile the Zealots stood guard.

dark Templars came to our AidWithin seconds after the Nexus's appearance, our outpost wa sttacked by 8 Hydralisks... it was at this fortunate time that we spotted the Dark Templar who came from behind and slughtered the Hydralisks. It was then that we reported that we had to detroy the nearby Zerg Base in order to take control of the Warp Gate.

Quickly a military base was set up, with the Nexus countinously warping in probes. We also constructed a Gateway and another Pylon. Meanwhile the newly aquired Dark Templars went south along the red line to explore. After going down a ramp and walking across a bridege, the Dark Templars found a ow of Sunken Colonies. These were soon dispatched by the Dark Templars, as the Zerg had no detectors nearby. The Dark Templars countinues slaying Sunken Colonies till the were detected, in which case they retreated.

Meanwhile the Protoss Outpost thrived, se dispatched the Zealots to guard the ramp as the base countinued to expand. The following were the order in which the buildings were built:

Assimulator
Zealots at Gateway
Cybernetics Core
Dragoons at Gateway
Pylon and Shield Battery at Ramp
Forge
2 Photon Cannons at Ramp
Singularity Charge Research
Citadel of Adun
Templar Archives
Second Gateway
Dark Templars/Dragoons at Gateways

With an extra two Dark Templars.. the force of six Dark Templars managed to knock out what little cloak detection the Zerg placed around the center of the map with ease. Here we found the Warp Gate... 3 Dragoons were brought up from main base to help the Dark Templars. Meanwhile more Dragoons were being warped from the Gateways. The Dark Templars also discovered an expansion at the South West Corner guarded by a few Sunkens and one Spore. Using the Dragoons to take out the Spore Colony and wandering Overlords, and the Dark Templars to take out the remaining Sunken Colonies, the expansion was taken without any loss. Soon another Nexus was contructed.

Dragoons and Dark Templars finish off the Zerg BaseThe attacks of Hydraliks, Zerglings and Mutalisks were no match for our defences. Meanwhile the Gateways countinued to warp in Dragoons, soon we had a sizable army of 12 Dragoons and 6 Dark Templars. It was then that I decided to launch a full force assault. Using the Dragoons to take out Spore Colonies which were out of the Sunken Colonies Protection and the Dark Templars to kill claok detection, the attack force made it easily through the Zerg Defences. Their trail in marked on the minimap. The Zeglings and Hydralisks that popped out were no match for the sharp blades of the Dark Templar. It wasn't long before the Zerg Colony fell...

It is here that I conclude about this Battle, I looks forward to meeting the Dark Bethren and my next installment will be up shortly.
