Greetings, I write this
report after the glorious mission at Dylaria. It was one of the most challenging yet rewarding battles that I have seen. To reflect this, most of the men under my command are currently roaring drunk,
but I know better... I will stay alert and brief you on what happened today.
The Dylarian Shipyards consists of 5 Platforms, 4 of which house Battlecruisers. Each of which I had to traverse and bring the pilots to the offline Battlecruisers. The first of these Platforms is marked A on the minimap. This platform was comparatively easy, the marines and medic in my command easily overpowered the enemy Bunkers. One the Bunkers was destroyed, the pilots soon had 'freed' all Battlecruisers into our command.
Mission successful, we moved onto the next platform.
Here on Platform B, the Medics proved to be extremely useful. Using the ingenious Optical Flares to blind the enemy Siege Tanks situated on top of the larger Platforms. Why the ghost weren't even needed to cast lockdown. The Battlecruisers was once again stolen without a fight.
With mission successful are both previous platforms, Stukov ordered us to advance to the third better guarded platform at C. Just as I was wondering if there was a way to sneak past the Siege Tanks,
Bunkers and Patrolling Science Vessel, I was informed the nukes I requested was ready. Sighing in relief, I knew that the mission would once again be easy. Use the Medic to Blind the Patrolling Science Vessel, I sent 1 Ghost to nuke each of the enemy fortifications. With a nuke to spare, I decided to launch it at a group of 8 enemy infantry who stood there dumbfounded when the last nuke destroyed their Bunkers. With the grunt of the enemy defences destroyed, My ghosts and Marines was easily able to overpower the remaining infantry, allowing the pilots to take control of enemy Battlecruisers once again.
Th last platform at D proved to more difficult to penetrate than the others. Our two tank which were unloaded on the catwalk was immediately rendered powerless by lockdown. At the same time, our infantry below was forced to fight off an enemy tank. Quickly I tried to recall how I could get rid of those cursed viruses when the Siege Tank Operator suggested the use of restoration, immediately I complied. The freed tanks were eager to blast the enemy ghosts to the ground.
The advancement was difficult, with a lot of enemy tanks in the way, the first fell to Lockdown while patrolling science vessel was Blinded allowing the cloaked ghosts to advance, targeting lockdown on yet more tanks. With the enemy defences disabled, my own Siege Tanks could easily advance and knock out enemy Bunkers. This in turn allowed the ghosts to advance further and lockdown more tanks, the progress was slow but soon all enemy defences was deactivated with only the loss of one Marine who was foolish enough to stray into a Siege Tank's Range.
As all the Battlecruisers were stolen into the UED's command, the anticipated Dominion strike force led
my General Duke reached us. Although the site of a fleet of Battlecruisers was enough to frighten even the oldest of generals, I was sure my fleet of 15 Battlecruisers frightened them more. With outnumbering Battlecruisers, the enemy fleet was soon destroyed. Bits of shattered steel were the only signs that they had ever being.
Victorious and elated, I led the newly formed fleet back into Dominion Space.
