I never liked fighting thing inhuman, but unfortunately Zergs could not be avoided for ever. To tell the truth, If I knew Zerg was involved in this mission, I would have declined to command it. Nevertheless, I was only inform of not one, but the presence of four Zerg broods after I landed, once again I suspect this is a sadistic Joke from Stukov.
Also if you haven't briefed yourself to the Battle Map keys, they I shall brief inform you that the Red lines are where UED land troops traversed while the yellow lines point at the way the UED air force has traversed. Without further delay I shall hand over the report.
A quick scouting mission revealed that there was no easy way to destroy any of the Zerg broods with infantry, hence I decided that it would be better to strengthen my own base.
Constructing more SCV's from the command center and Marines from the barracks, I ordered the construction of the following structures:
Academy
Refinery
Research Stim Pack
Second Barracks
Marines/Medics at Both Barracks, Ratio 2:1
Factory
Machine Shop
Command Center at E
Comsat Station
Research Siege Mode
Siege Tanks at Factory
Throughout constructing these, the Zerg force attacked several times with Zerglings and Mutalisks. However the marines coupled medics easily took care of these attacks. When a force of 4 Medics, 8 Marines and 2 Siege Tanks had been massed, I ordered an assault on the Brown Brood at A. By parking the two siege tanks on the ledge directly West of the brown hive, I was able to blast at the living structure without needing to engage the main forces of the Brown. The marines that were guarding the tanks easily destroyed the Hydralisks in which the Brood retaliated with. Within minutes the hive was destroyed, rendering the Brown Brood useless.
Countinueing along the Red line, the Tanks and Marines easily levelled the disabled Zerg Base. Allowing another place for expansion once the Zerg creep had disappeared. Leaving some Marines and Medics to defend the new expansion the main attack force returned to home base, joining up with the newly trained Tanks, Marines and
Medics Stationed there. Throughout this attack more men and advancements were done at home base:
Starport
Armoury
Comsat Station on Second Command Center
Upgrade Infantry Weapons
Upgrade Vehicle Weapons
Second Factory
Wraith at Starport
Research Charon Boosters
Siege Tank/Goliath at both Factories, Ratio 3:2
Second Armoury
Upgrade Vehicle Armour
Deciding the press onto our opponent momentary weakness, I ordered the destruction of the Zerg hive at B. Once again I decided to take advantage of the Siege Tanks enormous range. Stationing them just South Under the ledge, I build up some formidable fortifications. 2 Missile Turrets was built either side of the tanks while around 16 Marines and 6 Medics were stationed the guard the Tanks. 6 Siege Tanks was brought in, planting into Siege Mode directly under the ledge.
As all defences were set, I used Scanner Sweep to spot the ledge on top. The siege tanks seeing the Zerg foe blasted all the Hydralisks, Zerglings off the ground. Quickly I repeated Scanner sweeps, this was done till the nearby Spore Colonies were destroyed. The oncoming Mutalisks did not stand a chance against the marines. With the enemy Anti Air destroyed, I was able to use the Wraith as spotters for the Siege Tanks. Within minutes, another Hive was destroyed.
Using a Wraith to scout out the Zerg brood at C, I found something astonishing. Despite all the Ultralisk Brood C had under its control,
They had completely no Anti-air! Heh these Zergs must be as brainless as Duran Claims. Elated, I sent my currently available fleet of 3 Wraith and slowly fried the Zerg hive. Although the progress was extremely slow, the Hive was destroyed after a few minutes. Meanwhile more things were researched back at Main Base:
Upgrade Vehicle Weapons Level 2
Upgrade Infantry Armour
Second Starport
Control Tower
Research Cloaking
Wraith and Both Starports
Upgrade Vehicle Armour Level 2
By now a massive force has being achieved at main base, and I was finally certain that the Zerg brood at D would fall from a frontal assault. Taking 6 Goliath, 12 Marines, 7 Medics, 10
Siege Tanks and 7 Wraith, I advanced slowly towards D. Once the first Colonies were in site, I planted the Tanks into Siege mode, blasting everything in sight to oblivion.
This process continued till I reached the enemy hive. The defending Guardians were no matches for Wraith and Goliath, whose new propulsion technologies allowed them to eradicate Guardians from long range. The Stimpacked Marines shot the Mutalisks to ground. Victory was once again ours...
