If
you ask me, a Zergling could of chosen a better starting location than what Vice Admiral Stukov chose for. After all, what type of tactician decides to start of completely surrounded by enemies? It only took a few Scanner Sweep to realise I was surrounded by dominion bases and the fighting will not be easy.
As expected the attacks came from all directions, forcing my marines to run from one side of my base to the other.
Hastily I began construction of the base.
SCV's at C0mmand Center
Refinery
Medic/Marines at Barracks
Machine Shop
Research Siege Mode
Siege Tanks at Factory
Research Restoration
Armoury
Upgrade Vehicle Weapons
As soon as siege Mode was research I planted Siege Tanks near the Command Center. Here the Supply Depots and other structures guarded them from attack while they could reach enemies attack from any side of the base. In this way three Siege tanks were placed, which basically stopped any attacks the enemies sent. Safe from assaults, I began to plan my offence.
Scouting revealed that there was an expansion available at A. When I had 3 extra Siege Tanks other than the ones guarding home base, I sent them along with 8 marines and 4 Medics to take the Expansion at A as my own.
Resistance was little, including some Goliath; Marines and an annoying Ghost which managed to lockdown one of my Siege Tanks. However my Medics quickly restored to with Restoration. A scanner sweep reveal one attacking Wraith as well as the cloaked Ghost, in minutes the expansion
was mine. A SCV was quickly send from main base and a Command Center was hastily constructed.
Throughout the attacks, more Tanks and Infantry as constructed at Main Base along with the following advancements:
Upgrade Infantry Armour
Starport
Wraith at Starport
Second Factory
Siege Tank at Factory with Machine Shop
Goliath at Second Factory
Research Charon Boosters
Upgrade Vehicle Armour
As more tanks were massed up, I deemed it time to set Siege on the Nuclear Silos at B. The attacks force from A joined up with 3 extra tanks, 6 Extra Marine sand 2 Extra Medics and 2 Extra Goliath at Main Base. These then set course along the Red Line towards the nuclear silos. Once the first Bunkers become visible, the Siege Tanks were set to siege mode, blasting enemy structures into dust.
The Infantry and Goliath whom charged up was no match for the Siege Tanks firepower. As the anti air defences were taken care of, I managed to sneak the 2 Wraith I had currently available around onto the Platform and kick out the two Siege Tanks situated there.
With all visible Defences destroyed, the Siege Tanks continued to the main entrance, here they were set in Siege Mode again.
As expected, more of the enemy defences charged at us. But the marines managed to block the infantry from attacking the Siege Tanks.
The Medics quickly restored the few lockdowns thrown at Tanks. Meanwhile the extra two Siege Tanks and 3 Marines that were trained at the main base move to the bridge at C and blocked off and further reinforcements the enemy could send. Around three Wraith tried counter attack, but scanner sweep revealed these allowing the Goliath to make short work of them. Finally all of the Marines and Medics charged forwards, destroying the final Tank guarding the Nuclear Silos.
It did not take long the level all the Silos to the ground, now in the next Siege all we need to face are the enemy Battlecruisers...
