Terran Mission 6

Patriot's Blood (PART ONE):
Find and Kill Admiral Stukov Duran must Survive
Minimap as Drawn by Commander Deathwing
Map Size: 192x128

Well there I was, ordered by a disappointed admiral to assassinate Alexie Stukov, Second in command of the UED and my friend. Despite all the jokes he has played on me, I really didn't think he is a traitor... Still Duran's evidence was convincing and I am ranked only as captain and have no rights to object.

First of all let me brief you on the minimap which has altered a bit to suit in door assassination missions. The Red Dots signify enemies, the blue dots signify computer positions while the green dots signify reinforcements. The Yellow line shows the direction of movement of my troops.

Science Vessels helped the Zerg Offence by casting EMP ShockwaveAfter making a rather explosive break in, My squadron of troops along the corridor. Resistance was small as we reached our way to the first computer panel. Here I ordered a UED marines to activate the computer, only to find that it sprang into a trap. I'll be damned, I cursed as I realised it was Mike, the same marine who I was about to promote to a SCV pilot a while ago.

Countinueing, the next of interest was a group of civilians. Unfortunately these were once again loyal to Admiral Stukov, refusing to give us the location of Stukov. Within seconds their blood was splattered along the corridor walls. Smirking, the marines continued destroying any resistance that came in their way. The Medics proved useful, healing any injured Marines. The side corridor to our left proved useful, containing the location of the Goliath Bay. Quickly we headed along the yellow line towards that direction. The turret defences were no match, and neither were the enemy infantry. Along the way at A, we finally managed to get a Civilian to reveal the password, allowing us to find the location of Admiral Stukov. Unfortunately for the Civilian, giving us the knowledge did not save the marines from pulling the trigger.

Cheered, my squad continued, reaching the Goliath bay. Before the enemy could rally its pilots to get on the Goliath, my marines managed to grab four of the Goliath in the bay. These quickly managed to destroy the two the enemy managed to activate. Cheered by the new Machinery on our side, my squad continued Southwards towards Stukov. Although resistance was heavy soon we at his back door. It did not take long for Duran to force the Door to open. Stukov was in our grasp...

Warning: Spoiler Below, Do not Read till You found Stukov

Patriot's Blood (PART TWO):
Get to the Override Terminal before time runs out
Minimap as Drawn by Commander Deathwing
Map Size: 192x128

The sound of Stukov's Death still haunts me as I gaze at his corpse, but the Flashing Red lights of self-destruction snapped me out of my stupor. Instantly I realised that if I did not stop the Self-destruction, I would be dead! Never were I in much danger before... but this time it's my life I was fighting for!

Quickly I barked my men to continue, instincts told me that the way to the Override lay somewhere ahead. Gathering the scattered forces of Stukov's troops we continued. It was as we hurried down a flight of Stair at B, it was then that the first swarm of Zergs was met. Quickly we engaged them, the stairs case forcing them to attack in one's and twos. Damn it seemed that our searched would be slowed by these critters.

As fast as we could, my men hurried forwards. It wasn't long before we reached another computer. Here we found the location of a huge swarm of Zerglings to the Northeast. Quickly, fighting off the oncoming Zerg from every direction, my force continued towards the swarm. In the hall just before the Zerglings, my men discovered a hallway packed full of Defensive Turrets. At the suggestion of a marine we led the Zergling into the hallway, watching the automated defence toasts them. However our victory was short lived, as the ticking clock reminded us of our urgency. Quickly our entrenched squad continued, battling it's way through for Zerg attacks.

Turning down a hallway at C. I heard the sound of Infested Marines. Quickly I ordered my men to scatter, sending poor Mike forward down the corridor. It was only when we heard his Death Scream that we knew we were safe. Poor Mike, he always said he wanted to be a hero one day. Quickly we continued, finally reached a rather interesting room. The sound of battle were quickly heard and we rushed towards it. Finding a squadron of marines fighting back to back against overpowering swarm. However our reinforcements managed to save the day just in time...

Marines fighting back to back against the Swarm

The larger force of men continued forwards under my command. Almost running, as there were only 4 minutes before the whole place would cease to exist. Countless times the Swarms attacks and countless times we held them off. Although our Marine numbers were dwindling dramatically, we did not slow our pace. Anyway I did not care as the Button was in sight... running up the platform, pressing the Override button, I knew I would be safe. Although the same cannot be said for those poor ripped bodies that lay beside me, but hey… I live that's what counts right?
