Zerg Mission 5

True Colors:

Destroy all enemy Bases
Minimap as Drawn by Cerebrate Deathwing
Map Size: 128x192

Early Morning on Korhal was a amusing sight. Lurkers stampeded through the camps, silently murdering the countless Civilians that wondered around. It was time for slaughter, it was time to show the true colours of our Queen

Quickly I sent the Drones to harvest, meanwhile wasting no time, I set my pillaging forces into two teams. Team 1 consisted of all the Zerglings and 2 Lurkers, which advanced towards the Terran outpost at B. Mean while team 2, consisting of all the Hydralisks and one Lurker charged towards Base C. Both teams ignored enemy units and went straight for their targets.

Hydralisks slaughtered the unprepared ProtossAs soon as the Command Center at B was destroyed an the Photon Cannons at C wrecked, the sabotaging forces continued south wards to D and E. The little defences that were stationed at each were no math for the onslaught of my forces. Quickly the Nexus and Command Center and D and E were levelled, minimising the enemy resource gathering abilities.

Meanwhile more Zerglings were trained at main base, these split up and charged to both sides, killing the Photon Cannons and Bunkers at each. When 6 minutes was up and the enemy woke up in the smoking remains of their base, most of their structures at B, C, D and E had being be destroyed. However this did not slow the enemy counter attack to D and E. Although my forces at D managed to hold the enemy attacks at Bay with Lurkers, The forces at D were forced to retreat to A. Sunken Colonies were quickly constructed at main base to hold off the attacks. However all through the 6 minutes and the retreat, the main bas was busy building more Drones and advancing up the technology tree.

Throughout this the Protoss staged countless assaults, many of which were hard pressed for us to hold. However the Sunken Colonies were invaluable in halting such assaults. Meanwhile I sent some Zergling scouting to the North East and destroyed the Pylon stationed there, and a force of Hydralisks/Lurkers were sent killing the Gateway directly East of our base. However the offence was forced to retreat when the enemy reinforcements came. Meanwhile the Terran tried to attack many times, however the Lurkers held these attacks off as the Terran lacked cloak detection. Nukes were also being launched, but fortunately the ghosts were not cloaked allowing the Zerglings to easily tear them apart.

As the Overlord Speed was increased, I finally had the option of offence. Using the 5 Lurkers, 7 Hydralisks and 3 Mutalisks, I made an assault on B. The attack was successful, as the Terran lacked claok detection, thanks again the missile Zerglings which took out the missile turrets and the Comsat Station in the dawn raid. The Siege Tanks could do little to those they could not see, and moved right into my Lurkers as they were fleeing from the Mutalisks. The Goliath who came to reinforce the base met the same fate. Soon another Hatchery was established at D. The Lurkers advanced to the bridge at D, here they settled with Overlords hovering above. The Terran and Protoss attacks, that came were quickly ripped apart by the subterranean spines.

Meanwhile a force of 10 Hydralisks, 3 Lurkers and 3 Mutalisks advanced to C, taking out the offensive patrol that came to attack our base. Soon they set siege on the already badly wrecked Protoss outpost at E. The Observers which came to the Protoss aid, were ripped apart by the Hydralisks and Mutalisks, forcing the Protoss player to retreat. Soon the attack force at D managed to overpower the Protoss force guarding the Bridge and both forces gathered at the Bridge to F, ready for an large assault. The enemy Terran tried to attack many times, but never was they able to see the Lurkers. A few Science Vessels flew to the Bridge, casting irradiate on the Overlords, however these were quickly countered by Scourge. 2 More expansions were established, one at C and the other at E. With the new income, I was able to advance further:

Throughout this, The Terran attacked with fleets of Wraith, however the Hydralisks managed to easily take care of these under the Cover of Overlords. The Protoss launched a few Scout assaults at C, but the 2 Spore Colonies stationed there were more than a match. Finally a force of 9 Mutalisks, 3 Guardians, 12 Lurkers, 3 Ultralisks and 24 Hydralisks was under my command.

First I ordered the Guardians to launch an assault on the Missile Turrets and Bunkers, retreating when the enemy Goliath tried to rush forward. These were soon eliminated but the Lurkers stationed on thei Bridge. Tanks also tried to advance past the Bridge, but stood no chance vs. the invisible Lurkers. Science Vessels were scourged on sight. In this way, the Guardians levelled the nearby Bunkers and Missile Turrets, finally taking out the Siege Tank situated on the ledge. With the grunt of the enemy defences destroyed, the 12 Lurkers advanced, burrowing just within range of enemy structures. It was then that I sent the Ultralisks and Hydralisk forwards, taking out everything is sight. The few tanks that stood in our way were no match for the Swarm, soon the Base at F fell into our hands. It was then that General Duke announced himself, just north of F.

The Zerg Force makes a feaful Charge against the Terran Base

Snickering I anticipated the kill. Massing up 36 Hydralisks and 12 Scourge, I forced a charge on Duke. Although Norad III was an extremely tough ship, it was no match against such overwhelming odds. The Scourge flying overhead soon finished off the distracted Duke. One down... one more to go.

The Protoss got mad at this stage, sending out 4 Scouts and Carrier directly up at E. Quickly I responded by constructing Scourge at all Hatcheries, it wasn't long before the whole fleet fell before the swarm of Scourge. Quickly I ordered a Counter Attack, using Guardians to take out the Protoss Photon Cannons. The few Psi Storms the enemy cast could do little to the spread out Guardians. Once the enemy defence was weakened and their spells expended, the Hydralisks charged forwards, a annihilating everything in their range.

The Ultralisks that were sent into the midst of the enemy base destroyed each Templar stationed there, meanwhile the Lurkers advanced, burrowing in the middle of the Protoss base. Soon nothing was left apart from rubble. Scouting upwards, Fenix revealed himself. Once all of the Protoss base was destroyed, my Force of 24 Hydralisks and 3 Ultralisks charged forward at Fenix. Although powerful, Fenix never stood a chance against such overwhelming odds... Once again no one can surpass the fury of the Swarm.
