As I began the tedious planning to whittle down the Protoss defences within 30 minutes, one of my most trusted Overl0ords brought me interesting news. It appears that within 25 minutes, Duran will disappear, giving me 5 minutes less time to destroy the Protoss base than intended... After all, I wished to follow Duran to see wherever his destination is...
25 minutes was not long and therefore each second is precious. Immediately I ordered the following:
Drones at Both Hatcheries
Evolve Hydralisk Speed
Evolve Hydralisk Attack Range
Evolve Overlord Speed
Hydralisks at both Hatcheries
Evolve Zerg Missile Weapons Level 1
Second Evolution Chamber
Evolve Zerg Carapace Level 1
Third Hatchery
Evolve Overlord Transportation
Evolve Zerg Missile Weapons Level 2
Evolve Zerg Carapace Level 2
As these order were being followed, I order my two Guardians and some Overlords to scout north-eastwards for a clear way to the Protoss base. On the way, we were met by Siege Tanks and Bunkers, these were soon levelled so that my incoming swarm may have a safe way to reach the Protoss Base. I had no idea why these pathetic Terran were so close to our hive cluster, but there was no time to waste, no time to destroy them.
As the Terran fortifications blocking my way to the Protoss Outpost were destroyed, I ordered the Guardians scout back southwards along the yellow line. Here I ordered the destruction of the 3 Photon Cannons guarding the stasis cell. Done silently, the Protoss didn't even notice their loss. Knowing that going any closer to the Protoss base would mean facing the whole wrath of their defence, I ordered my Guardians
to retreat. Meanwhile the Overlords patrolled the entrance of the rotoss base, heavily guarded by Reavers and Photon Cannons, it obvious the Protoss were prepared. Knowing that the front entrance will be nearby impossible to penetrate, I decided to attack from behind...
When 13 minutes had passed since the start of the Battle, I ordered the attack with everything I had. There will be only one attack, only one chance to destroy their base... The loaded all my forces that I had built into 18 Overlords. These included 8 Zerglings, 2 Lurkers, one Ultralisk and 62 Hydralisks. The formidable fleet of 18 Overlord then advanced directly eastwards along the Blue line, ignoring anything in their way. There was really not much, as the Photon Cannons were already destroyed by the Guardians.
As the Swarm hovered above the enemy Probes, the whole resistance charged to block my way.
However they were too late, I can imagine the Zaratul's horror as he sees swarms of unending Hydralisks dropped spontaneously into the center of their base. The 4 Carriers directly next to the Hydralisks
stood no chance against the tearing spines, and neither the any Dragoons that were unfortunately enough to stray into my range.
However the enemy regroup quickly, casting Psionic Storm and using Reavers to blast at my mass. Even with such potent weapons, there were too few of them and too much of us. It was not long before the horde of Hydralisks swarmed everything in site. However the looses the swarm offered were many, around 36 Hydralisks perished in the fight.
I did not mind, the were easily replaced... The remaining Protoss scattered at our sight... finally the last structure crumbled into rubble 23 minutes after the Battle has started, just in time to follow Duran and the fleeing Protoss fleet...
