Northshire Gnoll Quests Location: Northshire Valey Zone: Elywynn Forest Continent: Azeroth Quest Giver: Marshal McBride Recommended Level: 1-4 Time Required: 20 - 60 Min Where to get it: Just Walk into the keep right next to where you start when you create a human character. Talk to Marshal McBride at the entrance.

The Northshire Kobold Quests are a string of 3 increasingly more difficult tasks that's designed to introduce the player to World of Warcraft. Thus, even the most challenging of the 3 should be a pushover for the average player.

We'll provide some tips of killing the three times of Kobolds you'll find, and then detail whereabouts everything are, so you can quickly complete the missions.

You have plenty of time to prepare yourself between fights. Kobolds are not aggressive.

Killing Kobolds:
There are three types of Kobolds you'll face in this mission:

Kobold Vermin: Level 2
Kobold Worker: Level 2
Kobold Labourer: Level 4

All three have the same AI. They don't attack unless provoked, and have no ranged attack. This means you'll never have to fight two at once.

Having a ranged attack is highly recommended, mainly for saving time, as Kobolds have a tendency to flee when badly damaged. Pick them off from afar, with arrows or magic, and wack them when they get close. Melee characters may wish to use special skills to quickly dispatch enemies so their health never ventures to the 'flee range'.

Labourers pose some danger, don't engage them till you're Level 2 or 3.

Kobold Camp Cleanup: Journey North from Northshire Keep to Location B. In around 3 minutes, you'll hit the kobold camp, consisting of mostly vermin and a few workers. Kill 8 Vermin... they're easy. The biggest problem you'll have here is that if you're server's quite busy, most of the Kobolds would already be dead. If so, you'll have to camp around for them to respawn. Note that joining a party will make the process a lot faster. If either one of you kills a Kobold, it counts as you both did. So, if its busy, join a party! Once you kill 8 Vermin, return to the keep.

Investigate Echo Ridge: The Echo Ridge Mine is located at C on the map above. However, you'll mostly be able to kill 10 Kobold Workers before you ever reach the mine. If you're low level (level 2 or below), that's probably advisable. Workers are no different from Vermin, same tactics will work. They just have around 10 more hp. On your to the ridge though, when you run past the keep, go on the left side of the keep. You'll spot a guy called Eagan Peltskinner. Talk to him to collect a quest on killing Timber Wolves. You can complete this quest while you're killing Gnolls, as the wolves are in the same place.

Skirmish at Echo Ridge:
You will need to go into the Echo Ridge mine of this final mission, but it's not hard. The Kobolds again ignore you unless provoked, so pick them off one at a time, resting if you need to.

Wonder through the cave, by the time you get back out, you should have your share of kills!

Some Tips:
This mission is easy, just don't wonder too far away. If you ever exist Northshire, then you're too far off. You don't want to fight Level 8 Spiders just yet!

Keep Ruined Pelts, they might look bad, but they sell for 5cp each, that's more than almost anything else you'll find!
