Assassin Skills: Traps
Perhaps the most unique aspect of the Assassin is her ability to set various types of traps. Along with these are 'sentries,' which are immobile minions that'll launch attacks at her enemies. This skill tree gives the Assassin a tactical capacity that's unmatched by other characters of Diablo 2.

At ECTS, the traps skill tree was the most complete, featuring every skill level 12 and below. However no higher level skills were on display. While traps are completely invisible to monsters, all Players will be able to see them, even if they are your enemy. All traps will also have a set duration, and hence won't last forever. (Like the spell Runes in Warcraft 2)

Fire Spikes:

Required Skills: None
Required Level: 1
The first of the Assassin's traps, Fire Spike is the only trap that can be launched before level 6. It hurls a volley of spikes on the ground, which will detonate if monsters venture near.

Shock Field:

Required Skills: Fire Spikes
Required Level: 6
This trap works exactly the same way as Fire Spike, except the spikes deal lightning damage instead.

Blade Sentinel:

Required Skills: Fire Spikes
Required Level: 6
With this skill, the Assassin throws out a magical blade that will travel to the targeted location and back, damaging any monsters in between. It'll continue oscillating till it's duration goes out and may damage several monsters or a single monster numerous times.

Charged Bolt Sentry:

Required Skills: Shock Field
Required Level: 12
The assassin is able to summon a tower that hurls numerous charged bolts at her enemies. Towers function in a similar fashion to the Sorceress's Guardian spell.

Fire Spike Sentry:

Required Skills: Fire Spikes
Required Level: 12
By summoning a Fire Spike Sentry, the assassin creates a remote tower which will periodically shower it's surrounding area with Fire Spikes..

Lightning Sentry:

Required Skills: Charged Bolt Sentry
Required Level: 18
Briefly mentioned at ECTS as a more powerful version of the Charged Bolt Sentry, the Lightning Sentry will send lightning bolts towards surrounding monsters. Presumably it'll act in a similar function as those Lightning Towers in the Arcane Sanctuary.
